Hofman’s Nursery in Hanford is definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re into cactus, succulents, agaves, and unusual desert plants. I stopped by specifically looking at their cactus and succulent selection and was impressed by how much variety they had. They carry everything from smaller affordable plants to huge mature barrel cacti, tall columnar cactus, agaves, aloes, and some really beautiful specimen plants. Their selection of pots is also excellent, with plenty of ceramic bonsai pots, glazed planters, and larger decorative containers in different colors and styles. Prices vary quite a bit depending on size and maturity. Some of the larger cactus specimens are definitely an investment, but there are also plenty of reasonably priced smaller plants if you just want to add something new to your collection. The nursery has a very old school, local feel to it, which I actually liked. There is a lot to look through, so it’s the kind of place where you can easily spend time wandering around and finding something unexpected. If you like cactus and succulents, Hofman’s is one of those places in Hanford that is absolutely worth a visit.

I purchased 3 Neil Diamond Rose 🌹 trees and on the way home they took a beating from the traveling wind, after following instructions from the employee at the nursery and taking care of the trees they are doing very well. I will definitely continue buying plants and trees from Holfmans Nursery 👌Thank you.

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly employees! Peaceful place to walk around with good quality plants. These are the beauties I took home! I’ll be going here from now on instead of supporting larger corporations.
